I installed XP over ME on my wife's machine. When it became obvious
that I would need some drivers to be xp compatible, which I was having
problems getting, I did the xp uninstall from the control Panel remove
programs uninstall xp option.

Every thing went fine until I rebooted like it asked me to. It comes
up with with the big black DOS screen with 2 options. Cancel XP setup
or XP setup. If I dont' hit the cancel, it won't go into Win ME.

How to I get rid of this option. Once I go into ME everything works
again. If I wait and don't hit it, I get an error and it starts to
reboot again..

From within ME, run the xp cd and select the 'compatability' option, and
then go find the drivers.. most are available, and always start with
manufacturer web sites.. then reload XP..

Mike that would be a soultion if I could find a driver to work for her
sound card. Gateway and Creative don't have a workable xp driver for
it. She wants to stay with ME. How can I get rid of tha dual boot
screen that comes u. XP or Cancel Xp installation. If it goes to XP,
there is none and another re-boot process.
