Uninstalling Programs

My friend has a program stuck in her XP Pro machine. She
was trying to load Black Ice, a firewall or something.
The installation failed and she returned the program. She
is getting firewall type pop-ups asking her if she wants
a program to continue or not.
The program never loaded completely and I could not
uninstall it through windows. I used "My Uninstaller" and
got ride of it in Add/Remove Programs but she still gets
the pop-ups. I got a registry cleaner program on the
theory that there were some registry items causing the
problem. She still gets the pop-ups. Aside from
reformating the hard drive or reinstalling the program
and then uninstalling it, is there any other suggestions
how to stop the problem.

Hi Charlie

Black Ice thinks that it is a firewall, but it isn't. Try reinstalling then uninstalling that program.
