Plato,

Why are you always pushing people to this Bootdisk site? Years ago I used to go
on that site but bypassed it due to all the popups... Now, I have no need to go
there as most of the boot floppies are available on the Microsoft site, which is
also popup free.

Norton have their own forums (https://forums.symantec.com/syment/ & choose
ENDPOINT Security) & their own tools. They have Symantec engineers answering
posts in these free forums too

Symantec e-mailed me last week & said NEVER download their tools from another
website. I am also waiting to hear if you need permission to host their tools on
your site too. For enquiries you have to ask them via the Symantec Store contact
form (http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice/support/cs/contact_cs_nam.jsp &
click the E-MAIL option). They will then e-mail you back within 24 hours, but I
have waited far longer so far

I've never had a single popup on the bootdisk.com site, nor will I ever
have a popup. I hate popups. You must have been directed to an incorrect
site.

No it doesn't matter and if you want to try the daunting manual removal:

At the least you can check for any leftovers using the info on the page if after
you use a removal tool.
