Unexpected reversed DNS lookup request

We have is situation where we are using a an internal Microsoft loopback
adapter which we are using for an application. This adapter has got IP
address 192.168.0.1. The normal networkadapter has got an static IP address
which usually is an IP address in the 10.x.x.x range. The IP address of the
internal loopback adapter sents DNS requests over the IP address of the
adapter which is connected to the network. Is there any way to disable these
DNS requests from this internal loopback adapter?

The IP address 192.168.0.1 does not appear to be from the loop-back adapter.
The loop-back adapter appears to usually be configured for 127.0.0.1.

Do you happen to have a second network adapter (NIC, USB or Firewire)?

We have already tried to use the 127.0.0.1 IP address. The point in using
this address is that we are running the application in an environment where
this application is set to be the Windows Shell instead of the explorer.exe.
We also found out that, when explorer.exe is not running, the IP address
127.0.0.1 is not reachable. Therefore we need some way to avoid the DNS
requests from this 192.168.0.1 address.
