uncompress ... unzip ... slow

I've seen the other posts, read the comments, and I really have to disagree
that uncompress in XP was also slow. Maybe slow compared to other unzip
programs, but Windows Vista sets a new standard for excruciatingly slooooow!
A virus scan of my system using the tune up in Live One Care takes way in
excess of 24 hours to complete. Last night I bought and installed WinZip. The
complete tune up ran in a couple of hours like it should. Microsoft
definitely has a performance problem with uncompress in Windows Vista Home
Premium.

2 hours 30 mins to unzip 45 meg... I've done this post, done a quote, gone mad, had some conversations, walked about, all this whilst waiting for the unzip to complete - Vista REALLY helps you do the more important things in life by being so slow and unresponsive that you eventually become bored with it.

Nice work Microsoft!
