Unable to view source / edit pages

When I right-click a web page and select View Source,
notepad does not load and display the source code.
Neither selecting Source from the View menu. I have also
noticed on my version of IE6 Service pack 2 that the edit
button on the toolbar is dimmed and doesn't function.

Any suggestions?

First, clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content.) It's often recommended that the TIF
folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.) Bigger isn't necessarily better.

If you have a shortcut to Notepad.exe on the desktop, rename it.

Some people have reported that Quick View Plus can cause this

(folder) be kept at
40-50 MB. Bigger isn't necessarily better.

Or is you have created a shortcut on the Control panel to Notepad, rename it
Npad.
