Check for the file notepad.exe in the following paths and delete them:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\
C:\Documents and Settings\<Your user profile>\Desktop\
If this does not help, delete all of the files in the Temporary Internet Files folder.
To do this, follow these steps: Start Windows Explorer. Browse to
C:\Document and Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files.
(Delete Content.IE5 as well)
On the Edit menu, click Select All, and then press DELETE. When the
confirmation message appears, click Yes. Close Windows Explorer.

Clicking Source in the IE6 View menu should open Notepad and display a
web page's source code. But Notepad doesn't open. Nothing happens.
Notepad is indeed installed and is listed as my HTML editor in Tools >
Internet Options > Programs. I've tried deleting my temporary internet
files. No luck. I'm using XP. Any suggestions?
