Unable to share internet connection

when i tried to share my internet connection, a message pops up saying " An
error occurred while Internet Connection Sharing was being enables. The
specified service does not exist as an installed service."

Have you disabled any Windows XP services in msconfig or services.msc?
If so, enable them.

Are there any relevant messages in Event Viewer? To run it, click
Start | Control Panel | Performance and Maintenance | Administrative
Tools | Event Viewer. For more information, see:

1. If you use ICS, make sure your have two NICs and the inside NIC should be 192.168.0.1.

2. Make sure the following services are running

Application Layer Gateway Service
Network Connections
Network Location Awareness (NLA)
Plug And Play
Remote Access Auto Connection Manager
Remote Access Connection Manager
Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Telephony
