Internet Connection Sharing

Im sharing the connection on my network card (cause its connected to my
modem) and I know how to set all that up but the problem Im getting is
this error message comes up and basically tells me:

An Error occurred while internet connection sharing was being enabled.

The specified service does not exist as an installed service.


now i poked around in the group policy editor before i did this but
every is back to default. did i miss something? plese help!

Hi.
Group Policy is not the place to look for a service.

Log to the services in Computer Management and make sure that the service

"Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) / Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)" is
enabled.

If the computer runs XP Service Pack 2, the service is called "Windows
Firewall / Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)".

Are there any relevant messages in Event Viewer? To run it, click
Start | Control Panel | Performance and Maintenance | Administrative
