Unable to send email messages using Outlook Express

Please help to correct my problem. When I try to send an
email message I receive a message that says "This message
could not be sent. An error has occured." A large
exclamation point is in the message box.

I forgot to say I am using windows XP

Check with your ISP to be sure you've set up your email account
properly, including the username and password.

Close OE. Find and delete Outbox.dbx in your Identity's store
(http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/files/store.htm#storemain).
