Sending an e-mail I'm getting an error message.

I am trying to send some email messages using Outlook Express. When I try
to send the messages I get an error message saying "The message could not be
sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address, It said my
e-mail address is '(e-mail address removed)'. Which turns out to be my correct
e-mail address. My e-mail and news addresses are different. My news
address is (e-mail address removed)'. I've been using different e-mail and news
addresses for a long time. But I've recently reinstalled my Windows XP and
have not successfully sent any emails. The problem does not occur if I'm
trying to send a news message. Unless somebody can help me in this
newsgroup I will probably do a complete reinstall of Windows XP.

Don,

Have you tried clicking the Tools menu, then Accounts and checking the
settings for both your e-mail and newsgroup accounts? That's where you
indicate your proper e-mail and server addresses.

Hi,

Just FYI,

You may wish to remove and then add back old e-mail accounts from Outlook
Express. Maybe it is confused by the settings.

Also, you may not want to disclose your real email addresses in public and
just use faked ones as an example - for the purpose of precautions.

Hope this helps.

Can somebody try sending me an e-mail.to the address (e-mail address removed)?

NO! I suppose I sholuld contact my isp and ask them "if that is really my
email address?"

Contact them but also be aware that some Anti Virus software can sometimes
muck up your server settings for incoming and outgoing mail. Also most ISPs
provide users with the ability to setup more than one email account, so
while your taking to tech support ask about how to setup additional
accounts.

Gmail also allows you to create a gmail account and set up a POP3
(pop.gmail.com) and SMTP (smtp.gmail.com) entries in Outlook Express so you
can download gmail directly into OE.
