unable to receive email, but can send them

I am unable to receive emails but can send them. Here is the error message -
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'incoming.verizon.net',
Server: 'incoming.verizon.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
Can someone please help?

Many are experiencing the same with Verizon. Apparently it is their server. So
please wait it out.
