Unable to receive emails

When attempting to receive my emails, I receive the following message:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'Verizon', Server:
'incoming.verizon.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket
Error: 10051, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Is there a remedy for this? Thanks

Well the settings look correct according to Verizon's page here,

Is this something that just started happening or has it never worked?

It could be due to security software / firewall or a few other things.
