I have downloaded various music via Imesh and copied it via windows media
player. However, when I attempt to play the CD in a normal CD player no music
plays.

Can someone please tell me whether I have done somethong wrong and how do I
get the CD to play on a normal CD player.

Thanks
Allison

this typically happens when you use CR Rs that have a real broad range
of write speeds, like 4 - 52. use ones that are lower and have a
narrower range to play in 'regular' player.

and use only CR-R not RW

I'm not familiar with Imesh, so what format is the music in? If it
is .mp3, many cd players don't support that.

And you must finalize the CD for a non-computer to be able
to run it.

Evidently you are closing the record session only. This
allows you to ad to the disk but the disk may not play on
a CD player. Be sure to close the disk when you are done
recoding. The CD will then play on a regular CD player.

If you make a playlist in WMP and then use the 'Write to CD' option that
will expand the items in the playlist to regular audio tracks and make
an audio CD that a regular player can handle. Make sure that the
indicated duration of the items will fit. You may have to experiment a
bit with the make of disk - and use CD-R *not* CD-RW, which few audio
players can read

Malke is correct, with a twist. iMesh is a file sharing program, and you
get whatever they give you. Hopefully no viruses. You may be able to
create a usable CD if you create a playlist in one of the popular CD
burning software, like iTunes, an d you will need a CD burner.
