I recently upgraded to Outlook 2003 and before then was running (I think)
2000. I wasn't able to view my address book in 2000 either. I have tried
everything from unloading and reloading the program to restarting my computer
heaps and nothing seems to work. The error message that appears reads
"unable to display the folder." Any suggestions or help would be greatly
appreciated as I desperately need to read my emails (it's my work email
address).
Thanks.
Sofire.

Are you accessing the folder through the Outlook Bar or through your folders?
Have you tried both to see if one works but not the other?

Upgrading from OL 2000 to OL 2003 can lead to problems in the mail profile.
Try creating a new mail profile using the Mail applet in Control Panel.
