Unable to logon to secure site

This has me stumped. My new computer running Windows XP has recently begun
not letting me logon to our employer's secure website. We have to use this
website to secure our paystubs and register for our insurance. From October
until November, no problems. After that when I try to logon with my user name
and password, I get a error message saying "Logon failed". After 3 attempts
failed, you have to reset password. It will let me go in with my user name
and after answering security questions, reset the password. But when I try to
logon with new password, same error message. We have used the library
computer and logged on w/o any problems. I have checked the Internet options
and even tried with the lowest security, uninstalled Norton, checked that
cookies weren't being blocked, etc. The website states that Cookies, Java,
ActiveX all have to be enabled. I am stumped.

Have you tried calling your employer's IT - possible they've installed some
additional security (also may/should be able to resolve the issue whatever
the poroblem is?)

thanks, yes, I did try that. I was able to finally logon this am by going in
to the Advanced tab on IE properties and checked the "Allow active content to
run in files on My Computer". I don't know why the box was unchecked,
possible the Microsoft SP2 update did it. Not sure but at least my problem is
solved. thanks for your response. Only about a month of pulling out my hair,
but hey, that's life with a computer.
