Unable to find Printer

I am trying to print to a printer across my network. A
networked machine has a directly connected printer
attached via the serial port. It can print to its own
printer, but when trying to print from any other machine
on the network, I can't even see it. I have enabled file
and print sharing but it doesn't seem to help. All
machines are Win2000. Any suggestions.

Thanks, Timm

Is the Printer shared? From Control Panrl, Printers & Faxes, right click on
the Printer and select Properties... select the Sharing tab.

Yes, it is shared.

I found the problem: the guest user on the PC where the
printer was attached was disabled. When this user was
enabled, users on the network could connect and print
properly.
