Ugrade from 98SE & restore from tape

I am planning to upgrade a Windows 98SE PC to Windows XP Home Edition. I
would like to perform a completely new install. I have a Seagate/Certance
TR5 tape drive that I want to use to restore data for apps after I reinstall
them. What tape software is compatible with both 98SE and XP Home Edition? I
have Tapeware 7, but I find it difficult to use.

have you thought about dual boot???
