I have an Epson 1280 printer. It has a new driver and I'd like to
experiment with it - but not delete my old driver. Is it possible to
have one physical printer - but two drivers and descriptions? Thanks.

I belive so just install the new driver after u finshed testin or wot eva.
Just go in to system then device manager click on printer n just click on
role back driver. That wot i wud do

Yes it is, I've done it a number of times.
Just remember to set the 'Default' printer driver to the one you plan to use
most often.

I tried to install a second version of the Epson 1280 - bit wanted to
over ride the first (original) version. It gave me no other options.

Maybe if you locate the printer in the Device Manager, right-click,
select Update Driver.

Thanks, but I'd really like to have both printers listed in the
Printers and Faxes folder.
