Troubleshooting a 'Repaired' Xp Installation.

Help Please!
I was transferring a Full disk image with Norton Ghost onto a brand new
formatted drive, when the 'old' drive quit, and collapsed.
I have done a 'repair' of the Windows Xp Installation, and now some of the
listings on the C Drive are blue whilst others are black.
The computer starts up ok and closes down ok and operates 'normally'.
Shouls this be of concern?
The only problem that I have noticed, is that the icons in the notification
[system] tray disappear. I have been all through the steps to 'recover' them
but that still disappear.
Is there any fix for these problems?

Symantec have an immense knowledge base . You can enter any question you
have into the knowledge base and I am sure they have encountered that problem
before .
I remember this because I've seen this problem somewhere before and it got
solved .
