Repair Installation Created Non-Existent Drive

I did a repair installation of Win XP Pro yesterday. Today I note that
my PC, which has 3 hard drives and a single CD drive, has a phantom G
drive containing a phantom CD with a volume name of VRMCCP_EN. The
contents are apparently diagnostic files for XP installations. Anyone
know how to delete all this stuff, including the drive? Thanks!

VRMCCP_EN is the volume title for an XP Pro SP2 Academic Upgrade CD.

Could you verify that this is the type of CD you used?

I've never seen an repair install - or stock XP at all - create what you
describe, so perhaps you have some other software running that has copied
the CD.
