Trouble with wallpaper

Sandy

I recently downloaded a picture from the net to use as wallpaper. However,
I don't want it anymore and cannot delete it. Tried to change back to one
of XP's original wallpapers but it won't let me! Scanned for viruses and
spyware but nothing has come up. Does anyone know in which folder the
current wallpaper is stored?

Many thanks,
Sandy

Right-click on Desktop > select Properties > Desktop tab > look in the
Background section > scroll to the current selection and look at the name.

Now use Search [Start > Search] for to find a file with that name. If you
change Search's "Folder View" to "Details" you will easily garner the folder
path to that image file.

Did you download a JPG (JPEG) or did you download an EXE file that installed the background
picture ?

Thanks but tried that. The trouble is that the picture that is on the
desktop is not the same as what "Desktop > select Properties > Desktop tab >
Background section " says! It's rather strange!

Right click a blank area of the desktop, choose Properties | Desktop |
Customize Desktop | Web tab. Under web pages uncheck everything, and
untic Lock desktop items. Ok out. Does that help?
