triggering outlook rules

Hello all,
I have the following problem: A user has created several outlook rules,
nothing fancy, just to move incomming mails to certain subfolders. These
rules work just fine when he selects the 'run rules now'option. However, they
don't work automatically. Has anybody any tips on how to solve this?

please activate in every rule the option: "and apply no other rules".

Hi Oliver,
Unfortunatly, this doesn't appear to make any difference, the problem
remains. On another pc, the same set of rules works fine. The sets are
identical (exported from the problem pc, imported in the working one). This
made me think that it might have something to do with a reg key or something.
Anyone any ideas about this?

Start outlook with the /cleanrules switch and manually create a simple move
rule. Does it work now?

Roady,
I tried the /cleanrules switch and re-imported my rules but my rules still
do not work automatically anymore. I now have MS OL 2003 SP3. We have an
exchange server at work and all our email is downloaded to our PC's when a
message is received.

Is their a fix I need to download from MS to fix this problem?
BTW, the rules work IF I operate them manually.
