Tried to download the Critical Updates

Tried to download the Critical Updates & Service Packs.
The "Windows Express Service Pack". It had to be
downloaded by itself. I COULD NOT do it. It kept arriving
at an ERROR MESSAGE:
"fileC:\windows\system32\drivers\netbios.8ys is open or in
use by another application

Hi

This *might* be caused by a permission/rights problem on the file/folder...

The permission/rights on the file/folder can be corrupt, missing or revoked.
Verify that e.g. Administrator and SYSTEM have full control over the
file.

Several other people have had this problem for Win2k SP3 upgrades as well as
WinXP SP1 , on other files, with the same error message. After they fixed the
access rights, the service pack install succeeded:

Sorry, your original post said netbios.8ys, which indicated to me it wasn't
a valid MS file.
