Got this game and installed on my PC. When trying to open the program, I get
an ERROR READING TRAIN DATABASE FILE
File: Trains\Trainset\auran_sdcn\auran_sdcn.eng
If I answer OK 3 times, It will go into the game and only allow me to play
for a few moments and kicks me off.
Help Please

I'm getting the distinct impression robbie and Dave are inquiring about
different simulators from different publishers.

I think Robbie may be inquiring about Microsoft's Train Simulator.

I think Dave may be inquiring about Auran's Trainz (yes, with a "z").
The version of that application I have seen could almost be considered a
model train simulator.

If so I suggest two separate threads and provide more specific product
identification including revision and publisher. It might also increase
the ability of people to determine the cause of your difficultly if you
provide information about your computer such as CPU type, graphics
acceleration chip set, quantity of main memory, Operating System version
and DirectX version. Much of the computer and DirectX information is
available in the log file that the DirectX Diagnostic (DXDIAG from the
"start" menu's "run" pop-up) can generate after running the graphics and
sound tests. You will be able to copy portions (no need to copy the
whole file) of that log file to you post.

You may also want to try using the application's uninstall icon, if
available,, or the Windows Control Panel's "Add/Remove Programs"
function to uninstall the application and subsequently reinstall it.

You may be able to get the attention of a larger group of experts on the
Train-Sim discussion forums at http://forums.flightsim.com/ts/dcboard.php

where there are separate forums for each of those simulators.

The Program I am asking about is Microsoft's Train Simulator and that is the
message I am getting. I have already uninstalled the program and
reinstalled...still with the same error message.
Thanks
