Total AV

Is Total AV safe to download and is it any good.?
Is it any better than Windows Defender?
If it is, can it exist alongside Defender and is it a necessary download?
Is it full of intrusive advertising?
Lots of questions......
Any advice appreciated.

I stick with Windows Defender nowadays too, mainly because of the speed and ease of use. Until recently, I used Kaspersky.

Total AV seems to rate reasonably well on AV Comparatives (https://www.av-comparatives.org/test-results/), but I haven't used it myself.
