TOO MANY POPUPS!

For some reason, I keep on getting pop-up windows in IE
even though my Web Search Toolbar has its popup blocker
on. Then I notice that its the same pop-up that keeps
coming up. I set my IE options to "never dial a
connection". However, when I play a game, the game
sometimes pauses in between and returns to the desktop. I
know that the pop-up is trying to appear, but IE won't
let it because of the options that are set for IE. So I
scanned my drive for viruses and infected file, but
didn't find any. does anyone know what the problem is

Download,install and scan your system with spybot/spyblaster as well as
with adaware.

You should try a browser like Opera instead of IE. It's free and by
using F12, you can completely refuse or allow popups. Best thing yet.

Actually, the free version of Opera is ad-ware. The no-ad version costs
around $30 usd (IIRC). Mozilla (www.mozilla.org) is completely free,
however, and does a great job with denying pop-ups, etc.
