Pop-up Greatly increased AFTER Sp2 Install

I had been using the Google toolbar popup blocker and having no problems
until I Installed SP2. Now I am flooded with pop-ups. I Enabled/Disabled
the IE blocker, I have uninstalled the Google toolbar. Reinstalled. Nothing
seems to work.
What can I do?

Have you scanned for adware or spyware lately.
As much as I don't like IE anymore(I use firefox), I have to say the pop-up
blocker in it seems to work fine.

Double check for spyware.

Check for spyware.

It could also be that the ad server is detecting that you have certain
browser security settings (perhaps disabled active/x control, or java, etc.)
and are choosing to send you a different form of ad.

And if you had the google toolbar installed when you installed sp2, perhaps
that interfered with the correct installation of the new IE stuff, including
its popup blocker.

Have you checked IE's settings?
