I keep receiving the 'too many different cell formats' notice even after
deleting a number of worksheet form the workbook that contain a large number
of formats.
Does the worksheet not reset itself once the sheet (and formats) are deleted.
This has happened way too often.
Please help!

DSG Burlington,

Here is a reference to the KB article 213904 in reference to this.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/213904

Note: In most cases, the limit of approximately 4,000 different formatting
combinations for a single workbook is sufficient. This problem is likely to
occur only when the workbook contains a large number of worksheets that use
different formatting, or when a large number of cells are all formatted
differently.

I know of one way to eliminate this problem, but it requires the use of the
Microsoft Script Editor to edit the actual scripting behind the Excel
document. Within the MSSE there is a .css of all the fonts used within the
document

Hi,

It appears that 2007 allows 64,000 up from 4000. That may be a solution
down the line.
