Today I learned a lot about Christopher Lee. What a fascinating guy!

Seems that 50 years is the time when their optimum production occurs.

The oak I planted from a acorn up in Cumbria in 2000 started producing acorns after four years. Can not say if they were fully mature and able to grow a new tree as the squirrels always cleared the lot.

Well, well, there was a TV programme about this very lady and the HeLa cells just a few weeks back.

It's a great story because polio was very, very scary when I was a nipper. I remember standing in line waiting to have the Polio injection at school. The oral preparation came a bit later.

Saved many lives and stopped many cases of paralysis in those that did survive.
