tkt file for Excel 2007

When I open Excel 2007 as a start up application prior to opening any excel
file, it displays a message that it cannot open \.tkt file for one of three
reasons [all of which are invalid]:
a -file does not exist [but it does]
b -being used by another pgm [not to my knowledge]
c - workbook trying to save has same name as currently open workbook [not
applicable]

When I click on the tkt file and request that it be opened with Excel
response is that the file cannot be opened.

Is there a problem and better yet is there a solution? This is recent after
latest MS updates.

Shane, Thanks for the references but in all cases they all performed a
registry scan, identified some errors but basically did nothing unless the
program was purchased. I was hoping that MS or another vendor had a specific
fix for this.

Wasn't looking to buy programs.
