Titles and hyperlinks missing from all pages except 4 newly revised pages

Windows XP Pro SP2 plus all updates
FrontPage 2000 (Office 2000 SP3)
Since some of my hyperlinks are missing, I have put a site map hyperlink on
the home page so you can get to the site map and look around. Maybe some one
will know right away what the problem is.

For a couple of years I have displayed the following Title on my index.html
page:
A SMALL Schmahl Family - Woerrstadt and Essenheim
with the text hyperlinks just below the title in the top shared border:
[home] [site map] [family history] [art gallery] etc.

The titles on all of my pages in FP editor are correct.

But today I revised a page (not a child (2) of home (1) page, but the next
level (3) after that) and then added three pages (4) (4) (4) to that one
(3). After I published to the web, the titles to all my pages are gone,
except for four pages.

The revised pages' hyperlinks are at the bottom of the site map:
(Pat's Collection) (Patriotism American Style) (Lady in Profile) and
(Abstract in Green). Apparently these four pages are the only pages that
have their titles in the Top Shared Borders.

Other information:
My index.html Properties dialog says:
Filename: index.html
Title: A SMALL Schmahl Family - Woerrstadt and Essenheim
Type: HTML Document
Location: C:\Documents and Settings\myname\My Documents\My Webs\A Small
Schmahl Family\index.html
........................................
When I am in Folders View, it shows the name of the file: index.html
Its Title reads: A SMALL Schmahl Family - Woerrstadt and Essenheim
..........................................
Shared borders of index.html
Apply to all pages
Apply to Top - include navigation buttons
Apply to Left
Apply to Bottom

Additional information:
I just opened FP again in folders view, selected index.html and asked for
its hyperlinks. On the right, index.html is pointed to sitemap. On the left
absolutely every page is directly linked to index.html - no subdivisions.

You home page is missing the Title tag in the HEAD section
<title>A SMALL Schmahl Family - Woerrstadt and Essenheim</title>

Shared borders and Include Pages are design time tools w/ the content (inside the <BODY> tags) of the Shared Border or Include page
"embedded" or included as html in your pages when you save any of the file(s) using them (or save the borders / include pages
themselves)

FP converts your page(s) to a series of tables to include the Shared borders, (which are really just a special case of Include
pages)
But FP can not build those tables if either your shared border page content or main page content has illegal html or broken tag
pairs
- usually due to missing </body></html> tags, or unmatched table / cell tags (unclosed table / cell tags), or some other unclosed
html block element

If you can see them using File Preview in Browser they will publish in as part of your pages

If you can't see them using File Preview in Browser, it's because FP can not build the included content tables, so you need to
validate and correct your broken html

It must have been illegal html. I removed " - Woerrstadt and Essenheim"
where it was stated in two places, recalculated hyperlinks and published.
All looks well so far, but I think that it's fixed. Thanks for your helpful
comments, Stefan.
