Title box at top of page not showing on all pages

Joe S.

I use MS FP2003 for three websites that I maintain.

Each site has a different theme. Each theme has, as a component of the
theme, a title box at the top of each page -- I don't recall the exact name
of this feature but it's a box at the top of each page that contains the
title of that page. You can assign a title to a page when you save the
page, and, in NAVIGATION view, you can right-click on a page's icon and
RENAME the page.

As I understand it, if the page is included in the site's navigation
structure, the title box will show at the top of each page. If the box is
not in the navigation structure, the box will not show on the page.

On my sites, the title box shows up on some pages and does not show on
others -- but -- all pages are in the navigation structure.

What am I missing here?

Thanks.

It sounds like you are referring to a Banner. The banner must be placed
on the page, and the page must be in Navigation View, before it will
show.

Insert->Page Banner

If you are using shared borders or include pages, and they are set up to
display the banner, then ensure the faulty pages have shared borders
enabled or the include page is actually included.

A link to a faulty page may help give a better answer.

Thanks -- I fixed it.

Yes, the box to which I referred is the top banner.

I had banners turned on for all pages -- so -- I went to my site's table of
contents and went to every single page, noted those that did not have a
title banner -- then -- opened FP and made certain the pages missing banners
were in the navigations structure -- most of them were not. I put the
missing pages into the navigation structure and saved each page that was
added to the nav structure. Published the site and all is well.

Thanks.
