time of the files

When I receive fax with the fax server that comes with
the WINDOWS2000, the time and date of the file has
nothing to do with the time showing on the task bar of
the computer. How to work around that? Where the time of
creation comes from?

Can you just create one file & see the timestamp on that to make sure this
is not a system wide problem?
