Thunderbird not updating posts

Thunderbird 0.9
I'm posting here as ACF is normally the only ng I daily browse.

Last Sunday, I saw no posts since the Saturday before. I tried closing the
ng, opening another, then going back to ACF, open it again, no change.
There seems to be no easy way to refresh a ng in TB.
Last week, I waited 2 days, then unsubscribed the ng, resubscribed,
everything OK the rest of the week.

Yesterday, ng browsing was normal.
Right now I only see posts up to yesterday, 7/23, nothing since then.
I also notice some posts have a thread, consists only of the OP repeated
6-8 times in the thread, no replies shown. Yet other posts have normal threads.

I checked my system clock, it is updated (Neutron).

Advice?

Mike, sounds like a problem with either your ISP or its newsfeed. I'd
call the ISP on Monday and ask them if they know what's up. I had that
problem once, and after I complained to my ISP, they acknowledged that
it was a problem with the newsfeed they were using. They then dumped
that newsfeed and went with another that worked!

Thanks, John, I will check the ISP to be sure. Just now, to even see my
OP, I had to unsubscribe and then resubscribe, just a few hours later. Now
the newsgroup looks normal.

One of the "classic" help desk comments is cold boot, and sometimes, that
fixes it, although I do it each day, anyway. The ISP is likely, as both
times it happened was a Sunday.
Well, some homework for next time.

Have you considered updating to the latest TB release (currently 1.06)?
Is there a reason you're staying with 0.9?
