Individual.net Not Updating ACF?

ms

I've used Individual.net for several years, each day it updates the
Thunderbird cache on my hard drive with the latest ACF posts for that
moment. Worked fine for years.
Cold boot daily, DUN.

Starting 2 weeks ago, on a Sunday, I could only see posts for the
preceeding Saturday. Browsing and email remained normal.

Finally, on Tuesday, I unsubscribed, resubscribed, everything was normal
again for a week. This past Sunday, same thing. I immediatly un/re
subscribed. Monday was still OK, but today, same problem.

This is only happening on ACF, other newsgroups seem to update normally. My
ISP, Copper.net says it's the other guy, as my browsing is normal.

Before I contact Individual.net, which may not be useful, there are others
here using Individual.net.

Anyone else seeing this?

Individual.net is my default news server, has been for several years,
and I read several groups from it. No problem here at all.

Copper.net offers news groups. Why not subscribe through their server as
well, and see what happens. My guess is there's something hinky with
your TBird.

I'm using individual.net, and am having no problems seeing the couple of
hundred messages per day that ACF gets (including yours).

Copper has IMO an unreliable newsgroup server. When I talked to them
yesterday, I mentioned it had been unreliable when I started with Copper 2
years ago, was it better now? He responded it had been down for several
weeks recently- well, individual.net has been very reliable.

This is getting to be a puzzle between newsgroup server and newsgroup
reader, don't think it's the ISP.

All an ISP does is provide you with a connection. (Some provide you with
access to a news account as well, but that's irrelevant in your
particular situation.)

Your past experience with Individual.net, as well as that of everybody
else, is that it is a rock solid news server. No one else is reporting
any problems with the news feed. That leaves your news client. Like I
said, something's hinky with your Tbird. Perhaps a full uninstall and
reinstall would be in order. <shrug>

Thanks to all, if it turns out to be a Individual.net issue, I'll post back.
