Addendum to "Thunderbird - comments" post

"Thunderbird has worked fine for me for several years. But
several months ago, it started showing multiple headers for
each post in a newsgroup..."

Thunderbird has worked great for me for a couple of years, but the
program has developed a problem in the last few days. When I start the
program for the first time after any shutdown or reboot, I have to
press the Get Mail button two times to get the mail. It only happens on
the first run of the program. If I deactivate the program without
restarting the computer, and then activate the program again, it does
not happen.

It's not a major issue---but it is something that just started
recently, like the issue from the post entitled "Thunderbird- comments"

I had the same problem with TBird while I was experimenting with a
number of news readers. I was originally using Netscape, but the new
Sympatico Servers can't be accessed with NS.
Once I settled on T'Bird and didn't download with any other software,
the problem went away.
I think it had something to do with how some of the software handled
message ID numbers and/or subjects.
