Themes & backgrounds for webpages

Newb so be nice ... I am putting together a website for my woodworking biz
and would like a woodgrain-ish background or theme for my pages. How do I
get this done?

Take a picture of a nice piece of wood and make it the background image for
the page.

I have this super-old customized theme from a project about five years ago:

If you want, I can see if I can still find it somewhere on my local machine.
it's a FrontPage proprietary theme and could be used as such, or you could
use the miscellaneous graphics and create a more modern and valid template.
