Themes Background won't display on index.htm

If I select a "theme" for the webpages in my layout all of
the pages show the background that is supposed to be
shown. However when the pages are uploaded to my website
the background shows on all the pages except the first
page (index.htm). All other related formating is there but
instead of a textured background it is plain white. How do
I get the background to show? I have tried switching
themes and no matter which theme I use the background
displays on all pages except the main page (index.htm).

Your home page is missing:

You may want to create new page, and copy your current home page content to this new page, then do a
Save As overwriting the current home page with this new page, as you may be missing other tags as
well.

You also need to remove all spaces from image names and page names, they will appear as %20 and tend to break links.
