the up and down bar is not visable in my inbox

I can not seem to get the up and down bar visible only in my inbox to move up
and down the messages. It is there in the sent file but not inbox file. Help

It's called a "scroll bar". and if it's not there it is likely that there
aren't enough messages to need scrolling.
