Hi Group
My friend has just phoned me with a bit of a problem, as follows:
He has just installed Autocad 2000 on his winXP Pro SP1 laptop. On doing
this and restarting, windows is now asking for a user name and password
logon. My friend has never, since installing WinXP, set up an account with
a password.
I told him to go into safe mode and try that, but in safe mode it shows 2
accounts, administrator and his own account, which when either is clicked on
asks for a password.
I have scouted the net looking for answers for him but to no avail, and most
places say that if he can't remember his password then it means a clean
install.
Does anybody have any ideas why installling a piece of software would cause
Windows to start asking for a password?
Is the only option now to do a clean installation or is there a workaround
for this?
Thanks for reading.
