Are you using desktop speakers? Check if your setup is correct.
Start>ControlPanel>Sounds&Audio>Speaker Settings Advanced button
Select Desktop speakers>Apply>OK
If that is correct, check Performance tab under Playback and set
Sample rate to Best.

Mine is exactly the same - do we need a new sound card???
