Hi

Just thought I would counter some of the bad press about MESH.

I have always liked the company and bought a few systems from them.

Sure their support is v v poor. BUT

Their prices are very competitive.

So if you want support, Pay the extre £200 and get a DELL

If you just want a great spec system consider MESH.

Once you get it, open it up, take out all the loose screws etc, check connections are OK, boot up, update drivers and you are ready to rock.

The Elite Prestige Plus is a great machine.

Cheap and great components. The only thing that is poor is the support.

Some people dont use support except for when components fail.

I'm afraid I completely agree.

They may look good with a flashy processor and graphics card, but its the non-headline components that always cause the trouble...

Im not saying they are the seller for everyone. The complaints on this and other sites need to be taken seriously but I also see other suppliers criticized.

The key point for me is that these systems are cheaper than I can buy the components at for a self build. The systems are scooping awards left right and center and there are no non-headline components on the specs.

Maybe thats why they have a 12% market share.

If build quality is equal between machines you end up balancing price against quality of support

Look at the spec below and tell me that it isnt a great deal at £799

If you had a very good IP checker you would see that Im in Northern Ireland.

Im not an Employee and I have no vested interest. I have bought a number of machines and liked what I got.

The support was at best unhelpful and at worst non existant.

But the spec of the machines provided unbeatable value.

I somtimes self build systems but couldnt get the parts for this price.

Take a look at the components of the Elite Prestige Plus

and tell me which are the poor components.

A small number of manufacturers provide great build quality and great service

A small number of manufacturers provide great build quality and great value

Nobody does it all and I will go for the later one every time.

Ok a quick look and i see...

A cheap n nasty case,
generic PSU,
below average motherboard,
Generic no-name RAM thats only 667mhz when 800mhz is a few £ more (and the Intels prefer higher speed RAM over timings anyday.)
Is that a gaming system with an 86GT and they think it wil be good for 1680x1050???
What make is that monitor again?

...and all for £930? Yes please....

Just had a quick look over the last 18 months of the main mesh thread. Other contributers including Meshvicitm are basically saying the same as me. I tried to count the total number of unsatisfied customers on the 380 posts - recon that it cant be more than 40

Sorry V_R, I'm really not keen on Abit motherboards so that spec just won't do - I'm going to buy a superior Mesh System :)
