I get the following message when closing Windows Mail and trying to compact
the messages. I have tried the things in the 2009 thread and nothing works.
Has this been solved by Now?

Probably the message he put in the "Subject" line, "The folder is currently
in use by Windows Mail or another applicat" - which he shouldn't have done .
.. . .

Of course that is what he/she meant, but I was doing a sting on sting. And
of course saying "the following message" is confusing, as I am sure you
know. One reason that the subject should not be used for portions of a
question is that it is usually done when people don't write an adequately
complete question.
