The "Aw, snap!" problem

I had problems with not being able to access sites and having "Aw,
snap!" displayed all the time, running Chrome in WinXP. I tried
everything, but finally removed my installation of Origin software for
gamers (from origin.com). This resolved the problem. It hasn't occurred
since I deinstalled this software. There seems to be some
incompatibility problem between Chrome and certain softwares.

No, this didn't help. But I denotched Settings/Advanced Settings/"Use a
prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the
address bar".

It seems to work.

Sorry, that it didn't work either. But now I think I have found it: I
denotched Settings/Advanced Settings/"Predict network actions to
improve page load performance"

Now the problem seems to have disappeared.
