text size and other resolution question

I have a 19 inch monitor that has a native resolution of 1280 by 1024 however
when I set it to run at that resolution all text is extrememly small on web
pages especially ...I have text size set to largest however it is still very
small...Any ideas as to what I can do to improve this ?? I also have another
question along the same lines....Does the screen resolution display
properties have anything to do with what I run in a game for instance,,Can I
set my desktop through Display properties to 1024 by 768 and also set my
games up to run at 1280 by 1024 in there individual options or would that
cause an error or conflict ??

Drew,

Have you tried changing the DPI from 96 to 120? Your monitor should also
have a 'custom' setting to go even higher if need be.

* Right-click on desktop, select Properties > Settings tab > Advanced, use
the 'DPI setting' drop menu.

Also,

* Right-click on desktop, select Properties > Appearance tab, select
'Advanced', In the 'Item' drop menu, select 'Icon'. Then adjust the icon
sizes.
