templates in PowerPoint 2000

Hi,

When I apply a colour scheme, it does not seem to have an option to
change the colour for graphs, so that the same specific custom colours
will show up in the new template.

Do you have any advice for this?

Also is it easier to do this if we upgraded to a higher version of
PowerPoint?

Upgrading won't help with this.
