Losing Secondary Template colours

I'm using PPT 2000 and have recently created a new template (.pot) file. The
file was created with the intent of having Primary + Secondary color schemes,
the Primary being made using the Slide Color Scheme > Custom tab and the
Secondary made using the custom colours on the Fill Color toolbar.

Whenever a NEW pres is created using this template both Color Schemes are
available as required. However if I need to apply the template to an existing
presentation only the Primary colours are available.

Is there any way of maintaining the Secondary colors when applying a
template to an existing presentation???

Any help appreciated

I don't believe so, and really, relying on the secondary colors is shaky at
best. Notice that as soon as you choose any other custom color, it replaces one
of the secondary colors. What you see there is really the most recently used 8
colors rather than anything permanent.
