Telephone problem

How can I stop my computer from turning on every time I
use another phone in the house or the phone rings.

No email answers. Look in your BIOS for a setting that refers to "Wake up on
LAN, or Wake up on Ring". Disable this feature.

Hi Mick,
Type DEVMGMT.MSC at Start/Run.. and expand the Modem tree. Double click on
your modem and flip to the power management tab. You will see the required
setting in that page.
