After trying (unsuccessfully) to switch from dial-up to a
shared internet connection across a network, I get the
following error message: "The TCP/IP network transport is
not installed" Have removed the network card (control
panel) and allowed it to re-install. Even reset the
TCP/IP protocol (Knowledge Base Art #299357). Still get
the error message. Running Windows XP on a Sony VAIO
laptop. Dial up networking connects, but can't access
the connection (even the PING command doesn't work).
